Bowhill

A five-bedroom family house on a west-facing hillside between the Howardian Hills and the Yorkshire Wolds, looking out across the Derwent Valley. The house is set into a wooded bank that crosses the site, stepping down the slope in three levels with green roofs to the lower two. Black-stained timber, corten steel and aluminium frame the views. A landscape strategy of wildflower meadow, native woodland and orchard transforms the surrounding field. Approved under Paragraph 84 of the National Planning Policy Framework. Ongoing.
