Cunelands House
A consolidation of two semi-detached brick cottages and their outbuildings into a single family house, set within a walled garden in North Yorkshire. The brick exteriors are retained; the interiors are rebuilt entirely. A glazed pavilion inserted at the centre of the plan connects the two structures, with a long void running through the house from end to end. Materials are restrained — brick, glass, oak, and a reclaimed brick wing for the west-facing master suite. Completed 2016. Double RIBA Yorkshire award winning.
